Artist’s Bio
Jenny Reeves is a Philadelphia native who moved to San Francisco in 1995. She began taking metal arts classes at City College of San Francisco, and upon deciding to make jewelry her profession, enrolled at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts where she completed the Graduate Jeweler program.

In 2008, Jenny was introduced to Argentium sterling silver by Argentium pioneer Ronda Coryell. Argentium contains a trace amount of the element germanium, which gives the alloy exceptional fusing abilities as well as tarnish resistance. Exploring skills learned from Andy Cooperman, Jenny has spent the last three years developing texturing techniques that take advantage of this alloy’s unique fusing capacity. Jenny now teaches Argentium 1 and 2 at the Revere Academy.

Jenny’s work has been featured in Metalsmith magazine, in galleries and exhibitions. She is a member of the following organizations: Society of North American Goldsmiths, Metal Arts Guild San Francisco and Argentium Guild.

Artist’s Statement
Jenny Reeves uses ancient techniques to make modern jewelry. The Cobblestone and Geode Collections are created by fusing layers of Argentium sterling silver and 18K gold. The process develops a rich, organic texture that is balanced by clean lines and classical proportions. Patinas create areas of light and dark, to dramatic effect, and stones add color and sparkle. Each piece is hand fabricated with meticulous attention to detail.
